The City

The river runs through it, and everything worth clearing is on the low side.

A fictionalized American city, 1962. Never named; everyone just says the City. The Renewal Authority wants the riverfront; the riverfront is where people live.

Places

• Carver Flats — the Flats; the low district against the water. Walk-ups, stoops, a barbershop, a pawnshop, a print shop.
• Pier 9 — where the body came up. The grain-elevator eddy.
• The Stillwater Span — the unfinished bridge that dead-ends in the sky. The centerpiece of Stillwater Rise.
• Tin City — the camp under the on-ramp that the census says is empty.
• Little China — where Zu Cheng comes from.

Stubs

Most of these are stubs until the campaign doc is regenerated. Add a place when a scene needs a room, not before.
