Narrow tunnels of unknown origin beneath the city, colonized by strange grove vegetation and ending in Ophidian-marked walls — an emanation of Desire where those who reach the surface emerge in magical groves. Source of the strip-leaves (purepale, for mood-fabric) and, in Gamehead, the narcotic elegratia harvested by the Guild of Ferrymen.
