Gamehead

Half city, half wild. Wolfen-ruled. The old alpha is cloistered; his deputy holds the line.

Canon Facts

  • Peer: Krenald the Howler, repentant Wolfen, nominated Peer in 963.
  • Acting deputy: Hadrax — runs day-to-day affairs while Krenald is cloistered.
  • Krenald's last mate is Kyx, an exiled vestal.
  • Two factions within the Howlers: Hadrax's traditionalists vs. a "contentious group" whose nature is for our table to define.
  • The fief's name comes from the Gamehead itself — the giant skull of an ancient beast defeated by Krenald's pack, mounted atop a ziggurat in the Bog.

Districts

  • West: cattle pastures, faerie groves, ancient standing stone circles
  • East: the Skinner (slaughterhouse and grim industry), the Pit of Claws arena, the weapons-market arenas
  • The Bog: swamp with ruins, including the Gamehead ziggurat

Krenald's death

The succession is unresolved. When Krenald goes, the two factions clash, and the city may have to intervene. The other Peers will not look kindly on a Wolfen civil war inside the walls.
